Is your pottery dishwasher safe?

Yes, absolutely! We use a fully vitrified clay-body and glaze to make all of our pottery. This means that the clay and glaze are not absorbent, making our pots dishwasher and microwave safe.

Will silverware leave marks on your pottery?

The glaze will not be damaged by any flatware. We developed the glaze to be harder than most metals. Some flatware is softer than others and more prone to leaving marks. If markings do occur , use a slightly abrasive cleaner such as baking soda or Bar Keepers Friend to lift out the markings.

Are your dishes lead free?

Our studio is lead free. We have formulated our glazes to be free of lead and other heavy metals.

Can I put your pottery in the oven?

Our pottery is oven safe but we've got a few suggestions:

Similar to glass, ceramics can break due to intense temperature changes, so be careful to avoid thermal shock. For example, don't take a dish from the cold fridge then immediately put it into the oven. We suggest you bring the dish to temperature with the oven to avoid breakages! Similarly, don't take a hot dish and put it into a cold sink or cold fridge: let it cool down for a bit before introducing a shock of coldness.

Don't broil anything! If there are any hairline cracks, they will expand in the oven and most likely break.
Make sure your piece is all good before you place it into the hot oven.

Shipping

When can I expect my order to be shipped?

Orders are typically shipped within 5 day of an order being placed.
Out of Stock orders will ship within 2-4 weeks, depending on where we are at in production. For a better estimate on shipping time for OOS orders, contact Mariah at mariah@addisceramics.com

During the holidays, and busy online shopping events, our small team of three may fall a bit behind on production and your order may be delayed. We will do our absolute best to communicate the delay with you. You can always reach

Returns & Exchanges

Returns and Exchange Policy

Returns & Exchanges:
We understand that shopping online can be challenging, especially when choosing glaze colors for larger sets. Consider purchasing a small item, like our Bitty Bowl, to see the glaze in person before committing to a full dinner
set.

If you’re not 100% satisfied with your order, we happily accept returns within 14 days of delivery for a full refund or store credit.


To initiate a return, email us at mariah@addisceramics.com within 14 days of receiving your order, and we will send you return instructions.


Returns must be shipped within two weeks of initiating a return or exchange. Items must be in unused condition with original packaging.

After 14 days, a store credit will be issued for the price paid, excluding shipping costs.

Please note:

  • We do not cover shipping fees for returns due to personal preferences (e.g., glaze or form choices).
  • If you've received pottery as a gift, you can return it for store credit.
  • If you’re dissatisfied with the glaze color or another aspect, you can return the item for exchange, store credit, or a refund (excluding shipping costs).
  • For missing items, contact us at mariah@addisceramics.com for resolution.
  • If your order is damaged in transit, please photograph the damage and email us for a swift replacement.
  • If you suspect you've received a Second-grade item, send us a photo for evaluation and next steps.

Return Shipping:
You are responsible for return shipping costs, and it is your responsibility to ensure safe transit. We cannot refund or exchange items returned in anything less than new
condition due to transit damage. We recommend using a reliable shipper
to safeguard against damages. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Refunds & Store Credit:
Refunds are issued upon receipt and inspection of the returned items. For exchanges, store credit (valid for one year) will be issued minus the shipping costs, to be used on future purchases online or in-store.
